OTHER TIPS FROM THE EXPERTS |
---|
1. First…..begin to pack and prepare for your retreat at least a few days in advance (a week is better)! |
2. Iron your fabric before the retreat. Who wants to spend retreat time at the ironing board? |
3. Do a basic run-thru of your machine before packing it. Oil it well and clean out the bobbin case. Also put in a new needle. |
4. Separate your projects into easy-to-take bins or bags. |
5. Cut out as many of your projects as possible. …Bring several mindless sewing projects along. |
6. Be sure to bring extras of the fabrics you are using including extra yardage of your background fabrics. … |
7. Bring other extra fabric – in case someone has a new technique or pattern you want to try. |
8. “Those who pack light – retreat more” – There are really no rules, don’t let packing get in your way. |
